FAQs

How can I buy your work?

I primarily sell my work through galleries and through my studio, located in Lawrence, Kansas. A selection of my work (usually vases) are also often available through my husband’s restaurant: Cellar Door Cafe. My studio is also open by appointment for anyone who wants to stop by.

I would love to dip my toes into offering a selection of my work for sale through my website. So, I guess stay tuned for the magical day when the stars align and I am able to make this dream happen.

Do you offer classes or workshops?

Yes! I primarily teach at adult ceramics classes at the Lawrence Arts Center. Once in a while, I also teach private lessons. And I love offering demonstrations, talks, and workshops at other organizations. Please contact me if you are interested in working with me in some way!

Is your work dishwasher/microwave safe?

Yes! Most of it is. Any of my pots with gold luster are only things that should be hand washed and kept out of the microwave. Lately, the only pots I’ve lustered are some of my vases…. Because it feels like a bit of gold helps elevate the moment the flowers are celebrating.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes, on a case by case basis. I have mixed experiences with commissions, and I usually pour an enormous amount of time and effort into them. I tend to say yes to commissions that are in line or adjacent to things I’m already making/want to make in my studio. I also tend to say yes to bigger ones (ironically?).

What’s with the flower arrangements on your instagram?

I’m an avid gardener and recently I’ve been interested in combining my love making vases with my love of plants. I really like to see how my vases work with flowers in them. During the warmer months, I create floral arrangements for my husband’s cafe, our home, or special occasions, primarily using my vases and things we’ve grown in our gardens.

What’s happening in the garden next to your studio?

My husband is starting a small orchard! He’s planted over 10 kinds of fruit trees and has multiple beehives. Eventually the honey and fruit will hopefully become ingredients in some of his amazing pastries at Cellar Door Cafe.
